We wanted nice professional photos we could print and display at our house. David was very punctual. He took extra care and time to make sure he got shots that he was satisfied with. To capture the entire family all together. I have adult children as well as one still at home, so when I get them all together I want to take advantage of getting as many photos as we can. So we hired David through local lens while on vacation in Kauai, and I couldn’t be more pleased! The process of finding him was easy through local lens and communication was great. We booked a shoot because we wanted to remember my 30th birthday. I wanted to remember my 30th birthday while my family was in Hawaii. Our photographer, David, was professional and captured beautiful stills. My 13-month-old daughter was not having it during the photo shoot so I was worried about how the pictures were going to turn out. But I was really happy with the results! We just got engaged, so we wanted an engagement photo shoot. It's a funny story: it was pouring rain! David said he hadn't seen that kind of rain in months. What can you do but laugh?! This was our first family photo shoot, and we really didn’t know what to expect. David was our photographer, and he was funny, easygoing, and made us feel very comfortable. He took us to a spot that he knew well. The pictures were absolutely wonderful! He captured the right angles, poses, and the perfect lighting. Even my daughter, who is awkward in pictures and hates smiling in photos (if you’ve ever seen the show Modern Family when they take family photos and find out that Lily doesn’t know how to smile - that’s her lol) was captured beautifully! We booked David for a quick family photo opportunity while on Kauai. He suggested a great spot right on the beach. David gave us clear directions of where to go, where to park, and what to bring with us. He showed up right on time and was ready to go. We have three young boys, so we can be a bit hard-to-manage group, but David was able to get us organized and presentable within minutes of arriving. We were so impressed with his ability to work with our boys one-on-one. He quickly got to know them and captured great moments from each of them. To say we are pleased with our photos is a massive understatement. The photos are stunning. They are our favorite family photos by a wide margin. David’s skill behind the camera is matched only by his kind and friendly demeanor. If we’re ever in Kauai again, we are without question going to work with David again.
