Family vacation photos! We’re traveling around Italy with family and we wanted to document us all being together. It went great! Raul was very good and easy to communicate with! -Camila

We've known each other for a year and a half, and have had many movie dates online (we live in different continents (Europe and Africa), but are both American). Her friend has said to her that either one of two things could happen for us: I'll see what's in front of me and take hold of it, or she'll walk away. Fortunately, after many months of thinking, I realized what was in front of me. Once I knew, I realized we weren't even girlfriend/boyfriend yet, and here I was thinking end-game marriage. So we crossed the bf/gf bridge online, and when she visited, I could propose. I picked the city of Pordenone because it's where I live, and we will be able to see the place again and remember. It wasn't a vacation, but we were taking time off work. She was actually very surprised. I took two photos with my phone in front of the photographer (Raul), and then asked him to take pictures. He did a very good job playing along, and she suspected nothing! -Charles

After 6 years of being together, I decided that there wouldn’t be a better moment to propose than on our trip to Italy. And especially Florence, since that is her favorite city in the world. I planned everything carefully and decided to keep the ring safe during the trip with my dad. However, due to COVID restrictions, my parents were not allowed into Italy and niether was my ring. I contacted Raul, our photographer through Local Lens and he was UNBELIEVABLY KIND to offer every ounce of help he could offer. So, he went and bought a prop ring in Pandora (he picked it up at the store and everything) and kept it until the proposal moment. We always take a big trip in December with my family. So now was a perfect time. I met Raul, who still had the prop ring, in San Miniato, a beautiful church at the top of Piazzale Michelangelo. He was pretending to be a normal photographer walking around Florence. We decide to go down the stairs across the street where there is an iconic view of the city and we ask Raul to take a picture of us. He then offers to take some with his camera and as soon as he returns my phone, I grab the ring box. When he asks us to look at each other that’s when I get down on one knee and pop the question. She did not expect it at all and she was so happy and started crying. After that, we took more pictures there, at the top in front of the church, at Piazzale Michelangelo and then Ponte Vecchio. We had the best time and Raul made everything perfect. -Luis

After the birth of our son I knew I wanted to ask my partner to marry me. I picked Rome as it is one of the most romantic cities in the world. I began searching online for the perfect proposal idea when I came across Local Lens, after looking on the website I knew this is what I wanted to do to capture and remember this special moment. To remember and cherish a special moment in our lives. After making inquiries for my shoot I selected Raul as he had the best reviews and portfolio. After some brief discussions, he suggested the Terrazzo Del Pincio as the perfect spot. I had a quick look at some images of the area and I agreed. On the day of the shoot Raul sent me his location and we made our way in that direction. Upon arrival I could see Raul was already waiting and I was waiting for the right time to pick my moment. After finally plucking up the courage to go down on one knee Raul stepped into action to take photographs of the moment. After the proposal itself Raul took us to another few locations to take some more photographs. Everything went to plan and we could not be happier with the results. -Scott

I wanted to get photos of the surprise proposal. Raul was fantastic in helping me set up the proposal. He found me a great spot with a great background. The original spot was a little too crowded so he texted me and told me to move over a little bit so the photos would come out better. -Josh

We booked a shoot because we had our proposal. My fiancee Jessie always felt that Venice was the most romantic city, even when she was a teenager. When we started thinking about getting engaged, I decided that Venice would be the ideal city to ask questions in. I found Local Lens online and selected Raul as my photographer two months before the day of our proposal. Over that entire time, Raul consistently remained in contact with me to answer every question I had as I worried about making sure the moment was perfect for us.

Raul was knowledgeable about Venice, and recommended a perfect spot with absolutely incredible views for our proposal! Here was there when he said he'd be there, and he was in the perfect position to photograph our proposal - he was discreet and subtle so Jessie didn't suspect anything, yet still close enough that his pics are incredible. We then spent the next 45 minutes going to other locations in the city to take further pictures in front of many incredible backdrops. In fact, Raul's pictures are so good that Jessie doesn't even want to have engagement photos done after seeing everything Raul took! -Brad

Raul is an amazing photographer. I was so nervous about the logistics of booking a photographer halfway around the world for our proposal, but Raul made it so easy. He helped me pick a great spot near our hotel so we wouldn't have to walk too far. It was secluded and absolutely beautiful. He is very experienced at surprise photo shoots and stays inconspicuous, so your significant other won't notice him until after you pop the question. After the surprise part of the proposal Raul walked with us for about an hour to several great spots in Venice and we were able to get some truly magical photos.
