SO HAPPY! My husband and I were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary in Positano, which was essentially a delayed honeymoon for us. We'd booked a shoot with a different Local Lens photographer, but on the day of our shoot, the other photographer didn't show up or contact us at all. I reached out to customer service, and thankfully they were able to reschedule us a couple days later with Mimmo.

We are SO HAPPY that we ended up working with Mimmo. It was such a wonderful experience. Mimmo is a true professional, and he knew just where to take us and how to pose us for great photos! Positano is my girlfriend's favorite place in the world. She had been here before and I had not and she was very excited to show me how beautiful it was. I told her the day of that I booked a surprise photoshoot for us since we always struggle to get good pictures of ourselves when we are on vacation. We booked a shoot for my friend’s 35th birthday. My friend of 10 years was turning 35 and wanted to celebrate in Amalfi. I joined him but couldn’t think of anything to give him so I decided on a professional photo shoot to commemorate the moment, the trip, the experience, etc. I contacted Local Lens, chatted with Mimmo, and set it all up on my friend’s actual birthday. I was super concerned about the lighting as my friend is a beautiful dark-skinned Black man but Mimmo assured me it would be fine. Along with his translator, he took us through Amalfi and found beautiful locations to photograph my friends. The whole shoot took an hour and when I saw the pictures a day or two later, I was blown away! They were stunning. Absolutely stunning. I was so impressed with how smooth the process was, how efficient Mimmo was with finding the locations, and how gorgeous the photos looked. I wanted to capture the exact moment of the proposal by a professional, to see her reaction afterward. Everything went better than expected! I told her one week before that I had booked a "cruise activity" which was supposed to start at Positano's beach in the early hours, but before that "activity" a photoshoot was included in the package, just for the first couples who get there (8 am). So we took the first bus from Sorrento and arrived 1 hour before the session. After that, we met Mimmo and his teammate nearby the proposal spot. Already set there, after the first photos were taken, I turned to her, knee to the floor, and pop the question. Hopefully, she said yes haha and I had to tell her there were no activities arranged and that it was just a distractor. Everything went as planned! After the proposal, Mimmo led us to certain spots to continue with the photo shoot. He was so professional and helpful! We have been best friends since college. Four years ago we started dating, and it was been amazing ever since. She's half Italian, and we have been planning to go to Italy for over a year. I thought it was the perfect place to propose, just had to find the right spot. After some research, I landed in Ravello, the perfect place for love. The gardens, the flowers, the colors, the views!

Fast forward to the proposal, I was 100% right, she loved it, and it became her favorite place in Italy. She has been to Italy 3 different times before.

The plan was to take the bus from Atrani to Ravello and arrive early for the 8:30 am photoshoot. Unfortunately, the bus broke down halfway to Ravello and we had to walk the rest of the way. At the time it was not fun walking in nice clothes, but once we arrived at the photo shoot spot, it became a completely different experience.
