Originally from South Africa, I first moved to Tahoe in 1999 with the idea of becoming a professional snowboard and skiing photographer. For the next 9 years, I managed to accomplish that, working with various athletes, as well as most of the ski resorts in South Lake Tahoe. Sierra-at-Tahoe, Heavenly as well as Kirkwood. This time allowed me the opportunity to explore the beauty of Tahoe as well as work as an action sports photographer and also portrait photograper. During this time I also started branching out with weddings and family photography. Late in 2010 my family and I moved to Dallas TX, where I started focusing much more on wedding and portrait photography, working independently as well as a contract photographer for a large National wedding company. During this time I was photographing between 15-20 weddings as well as bridal and engagement sessions per year. This was a great time where one had to learn to adapt to various locations as well as clients almost with every wedding and photo shoot. I loved the opportunity to work with so many couples and families from all walks of life and cultures. From Vietnamese, Nigerian, Hispanic as well as Ethiopian, Chinese and Egyptian. All this time however, my heart was still in Tahoe, so once my kids went off to college, I made my way back to Tahoe and to be honest, nothing feels better than being home again.
