We decided on Maui because my excuse for the plan was to celebrate our 3rd boyfriend-girlfriend anniversary that happened back in January. So after she said yes to that I started planning everything and I told her that the whole trip was going to be a surprise. She didn’t expect anything so that was the best. I booked the treehouse at the amazing hotel wailea. And the day it happened I took her there and Emily was waiting to capture the moment. She couldn’t believe what was going on, and she started crying as soon as I got down in one knee. Right after she said yes we popped some champagne that I ordered and was waiting for us right at the top of the treehouse and from there we toasted and took pics with Emily and right after we went back to have our private dinner there during sunset time which was amazing and for the books. . Never would have expected something like COVID to happen and we ended up changing to Costa Rica when COVID was going rampant in Asia. Eventually it started spreading to the U.S and New York (where we live) started going crazy and I knew our trip had to get canceled. Fast forward a little over a year, Hawaii seemed like the best domestic destination to travel to and bring out the ring from hibernation. I knew we wanted a more private location and when I saw photos of Oneuli beach with the gorgeous mountain backdrop, I knew this was the spot. I offered to take a picture of her as my disguise to find the right spot and as I approached her again to show her the photo, I did my little speech and popped the question of the century. Emily did an amazing job capturing the moment and directing the photo shoot. It was our first photo shoot so we were a little nervous but she made us feel extremely comfortable. We can’t stop looking at the photos each night because they’re so beautifully shot. Highly recommend a sunset photo shoot for the big day to pop the question! -Stephen

The photoshoot was great! My fiancé and I wanted a quick couple's shoot while we were on vacation. Our original photoshoot meeting location was rainy so our photographer quickly changed the location and met us at a sunny/dry location on the island. I have always wanted professional family photos in Hawaii. We came to Maui for a wedding and I did not think to book casual family photos in all the travel prep (especially during covid). After the wedding, I frantically starting the search for photographers and came across Local Lens and what a brilliant concept! I am SO glad we decided to take the opportunity to have family photos done while on vacation. I was looking for a local photographer in Maui to capture my proposal. The trip itself was very spontaneous - we decided to go on this trip a little more than a month ahead of time. So I didn't have a lot of time to find a willing photographer for the shoot. But after coming across Local Lens, they made it all possible with not too much effort on my part. Emily was local and available during the dates I'd be in Maui. After discussions with her about possible locations and timing, I booked the shoot with her. She was absolutely amazing to work with. I had a secret proposal planned for my now fiancee in Maui. I ended up asking the question on the cliffside of Ironwoods Beach in Lahaina. Our photographer Emily communicated with me well before the shoot and helped me figure out the best location and time for the photos I wanted. She then went to the proposal spot ahead of time and acted like she was a tourist taking photos in the same area. When I popped the question she was able to get some amazing close-up and landscape photos. After the moment happened I introduced my fiancee to Emily and we continued to have a great photoshoot. I would 100% recommend Emily for her communication, tips, and of course the gorgeous photos that will now be lifelong memories. Everything worked out so well. The weather was great. For two years of my life, I was a Corrections Officer working at Rikers Island. It was a very physically and emotionally demanding profession. We booked a shoot because I was going to propose to my girlfriend. Emily was onsite before us and gave me discreet directions on where was a good spot during the time of day, which was Golden Hour. We started walking Oneloa beach till we reached the base of Ironwoods Cliffs. After I popped the question, she introduced herself to our party and we proceeded with the photo shoot. Emily provided us with an abundance of helpful directions on how to pose and where to was the best spots. There was still some sunlight left, so we went to the top of the Ironwood Cliffs and proceeded to take additional photos with the contrast of the cliffs and Oneloa beach bay. Emily was very enthusiastic and helpful, understanding, and thoughtful throughout the whole process - we felt comfortable and happy to be in her hands.

We thought Punta Cana would be the perfect place to get engagement pictures taken and found this site online. We used Tatiana and she was wonderful! She provided us with information about a reliable taxi driver that waited for us during our pictures to take us back to our resort. Tatiana was friendly and very easy to work with. We booked a shoot for our maternity event. We are from CT & visited Maui last year - we decided that if we ever have a daughter, we will name her Makena after our favorite beach.
