I could not recommend Shavonia highly enough to anyone who is going to be in Nassau and wants some gorgeous professional photos. She worked really well with our large (7) group of all ladies. We are of different ages and have different relationships with one another (sisters/mom-daughters/aunt-nieces/friends/couples).

Starting with pre-shoot, Shavonia was really good at communicating with us so we knew exactly where to meet her. She picked a lovely beach that was practically deserted at 9 am.

She even arranged for a taxi to come pick us up (van-style so we could all fit in one car) and recommended a lunch restaurant we could go to after the shoot, keeping in mind our dietary options. We had already decided to have our group dress in navy/white for the shoot ahead of time.

During the actual shoot, Shavonia was on time (she was there before we arrived) and worked constantly through the entire 90-minute shoot to get several different combinations and solo shots.

She asked us about our relationships with one another to make sure she captured all the different combinations we wanted. She placed us in different poses and formations to increase visual interest, using the natural landscape to enhance our photos (water, sand, rock formations).

She was open to using our accessories in some photos as (hats, sunglasses). She was really helpful in little ways as well- for example, in some of my sister's shots, the wind was billowing her shirt out in an unflattering way and she was trying to contain it with her hands. Shavonia helped her to tie and tuck her shirt into the back part of her pants which stopped the billowing and was also not noticeable in the photos!

I really could not recommend her more highly as she worked so well with us and was really kind and pleasant. She instantly made our whole group feel at ease and told us how great we were doing the whole time, increasing our confidence.

After the shoot, Shavonia edited and uploaded 139 photos for us to choose from (we picked 45). She uploaded the photos well within the 5-day window so her timeliness is to be commended.

We had a wide range of shots and they were all edited in a beautiful way. When we were shopping for photographers, it was important to us to get someone who knew how to edit different skin tones as our group has some varying shades of whites and browns and we wanted everyone to look good.

I think she really nailed it. Our skin looks glowing without looking pale or washed out. The photos bring us right back to being so happy on vacation on the beach that day and I will forever be thankful for Shavonia for encapsulating our joy for us in a permanent way.

We will 100% be framing some of these and blowing others up on a canvas to update our home decor. -Kermeka

My husband and I traveled to Atlantis for a “baby moon” and last minute wanted to book a maternity photoshoot.

Shavonia truly made magic happen. We chose to be directed and Shavonia couldn’t have been more clear, offered photogenic suggestions, and ensured the pictures would come out with almost no imperfections regarding outfits and hair.

She would happily take my brush to make sure no little hairs were in the way and took her time to determine which way my hair looked best due to the wind.

From the beginning, Shavonia was very quick to respond, provided tips and the best locations for the photoshoot, and made us feel very welcomed/comfortable.

If I could bring Shavonia back to the States to do my newborn photo shoot I would!!!

Even when the photoshoot was over, she sent information about people she knew we could trust for taxis and restaurants, when she did not have to.

We booked a shoot because we wanted to take maternity photos while on our babymoon in the Bahamas. My Wife and I decided to book a last-minute babymoon vacation. We coordinated with a few friends and thought that it would be a cool idea to take maternity photos while there. We secured a photographer who later had to cancel our shoot due to scheduling conflicts on his end. We were devastated and unsure of what to do because it left us with less than 48hrs to book a new photographer while out of the country. I quickly began searching google for local photographers in Nassau and came across the local lens website. I took a chance and filled in my information and within 3 hours I had 3 photographers to choose from. We explored all of their portfolios and decided to book with Shavonia.

First, let me say this, Shavonia is AMAZING!!! Due to our flight leaving early the next day, she was willing to fit us into her already busy schedule and met us at 7 am in the morning. Shavonia communicated with us prior to the shoot to make sure that we were properly prepared, she showed up early and was so kind and patient with us during the entire process. Because we had an early shoot at 7 am we were a little tired and not feeling creative, but no worries, Shavonia gave us so many great ideas, provided clear and creative instructions, and made the entire process enjoyable for us! 2 days later we received all our photos and were blown away with ALL OF OUR PHOTOS, we wanted to buy them all! lol
