Jason was incredible to work with. He provided knowledge of the area that was specific to my requests for a surprise proposal. He was available to chat any time I had questions, and on the day of the shoot, he was ready and waiting for us to arrive.

After the proposal, Jason took us aside to a few different spots and took some posed pictures, and he was incredibly easy and fun to work with.

Mother-Daughter Trip - Wanted to have both of us in pictures and capture memories. My 10-year-old daughter and I booked a very last-minute, end-of-summer trip to NYC. I recognize how important it is to have photos but more importantly to be in photos, and as just a mom-daughter trip, that would require nonstop asking someone to take a picture with one of our phones. When we found Local Lens, it seemed too good to be true. Jason was FANTASTIC to work with. He helped us kick off our exploring right after we landed, going from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Ghostbuster's HQ, with a good walk thru the city as we soaked in our first views. We booked a shoot because I needed some shots for social media/work and Brooklyn Bridge/DUMBO is an area I have lots of memories with, so I wanted to have photos to capture it. It was my 6th time in the city already, the last one was before the pandemic. I wanted to visit a friend who lives in the city for more than two years and finally, we were able to make it! I've always liked NYC and every time, I fall for it even more. The first time was in 2008 traveling to the States with my dad and he sat me on Brooklyn Bridge and took this Iconic picture of me - I'm reenacting it every time I'm coming back. More than that, DUMBO is such a special area and I've never experienced it with such perfect sunset weather. I was so, so lucky to pick Jason for the shoot, we clicked the second we met. For me, it makes all the difference if the person in front and behind the camera gets along. We took exactly the shots I wanted, but he also had a special eye for good scenes, good light (super important!), and even spontaneous shots. I enjoyed the time shooting a lot and am beyond happy with how everything turned out. -Hannah

We booked a shoot because we love NYC. It was actually planned very last minute. I had plans to propose on top of the rock, but due to some last-minute changes, my whole plan had to change. Jason was quick to respond to my request for a photographer and seemed extremely experienced with my requested location (Central Park). He immediately suggested several locations within the park and helped me coordinate everything. The location I chose was quite packed but Jason still managed to capture the moment beautifully. Cait and I met each other 5 years ago as coworkers. Since our first date, we have been fans of travel and making memories. The city has always had a special place in our hearts because of the amazing views and countless romantic opportunities it provides. Jason helped us capture the most amazing view in the most amazing moment of our lives. On our train trip to NYC from our hometown my previous photographer canceled my surprise shoot. Within minutes of an inquiry on Local Lens, Jason sent me a message apologizing for something he had no part in and promised to make it work for our special occasion. His approach was flawless. He arrived early, prepped for the shoot, picked the most amazing view of the Manhattan skyline, and patiently waited while our ride made us an hour late. When we arrived he took pictures of our moment followed by a shoot where we could pick some of our favorite poses directed by someone with a true eye for photography. The shoot was for our actual wedding day but I proposed on the beach in Cornwall where we first met and had our first date! My beautiful fiancée got me a New York trip for my 30th and we decided to use this time to also elope and what better place than NYC!
